What to expect in the facilitated workshops
Some of the sessions will involve an interactive workshop element. Where available, we have included information about the questions and prompts that will guide workshop discussions.
There is no obligation to prepare for these workshops. However, if you would like to reflect on them in advance, the overview below sets out some of the questions that will be considered as part of the workshop activities.
From Where You Stand: Culture & Climate Leadership
Tuesday 16 June, 11.00 - 13.00
Participants will be asked to reflect on areas such as:
- Their role in addressing global climate justice (now and in future)
- What climate action means for the cultural sector today
- Identifying what leadership means in their working context and future ambitions
- Systemic barriers they are/could be facing when taking action
From Archive to Activism: Embodied Practice as Collective Protest [Booking required]
Wednesday 17 June, 11.00 - 13.00
Participants will be invited to consider questions such as:
- Why dig into cultural archives during times of ongoing struggle and occupation?
- How do we move from individual engagement with materials to collective action?
- What does it mean to "activate" an archive - to shift it from observation to action?
- How can embodied practice (using voice, movement, body) generate communities that imagine and act together?
Cultural Work in the Age of Machines: Value, Financial Resilience and Digital Practice
Wednesday 17 June, 11.00 - 13.00
Participants will be asked to consider the questions:
- What is a business model? (Describe in your own words, or in one sentence)
- How are you using AI in your practice today? (e.g. writing/drafting content, visual content and design, research and funding, creative development/ideation, not using it yet, not sure/exploring)
