Les sujets mis en avant nous semblent actuellement essentiels pour le secteur des arts du spectacle : la relation avec le public, les politiques culturelles de l'UE, la diversité et l’intégration, la durabilité du secteur, la valeur des arts dans la société, et les divers paradigmes, défis et aspirations qui sont vécus aux quatre coins du monde.

Having worked in the arts all over the world, Matina Magkou has observed some common challenges – and ways of overcoming them.
The European Commission has released its report on the mid-term evaluation of the Creative Europe programme (2014-2020). We are pleased to find out that many of our position paper's points have been taken into account by the Commission in the assessment of Creative Europe and in its recommendations for the post-2020 programme for culture.

The New Agenda, backed with appropriate funding will exploit synergies between culture and education and strengthen links between culture and other policy areas. It will also help cultural and creative sectors overcome the challenges and grasp the opportunities of the digital shift.
The study examines the nature and extent of ESIF funding for education and training, culture, sport and youth, including the legal base for such support. Much activity in these areas is hidden in official data, under other headings, but all of the areas are already making a significant contribution to economic and social development.
This is a list of initiatives started in different countries after the Weinstein case. It's not exhaustive, and could be further updated at a later stage (also with your help - feel free to share your own resources!). This list was helfpul to prepare the discussion on bullying and harassment in the performing arts held at IETM Porto, April 2018.
The session on Bulllying and harassment in the workplace at IETM Porto was moderated by Lian Bell (Ireland) and Yamam el-Zubaidi (Sweden). Their presentations highlighted the recent developments in their respective countries in the aftermath of the #metoo campaign, which unveiled how common bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct are in the media and performing arts sector (like most other professional sectors).

Towards cultural democracy: promoting cultural capabilities for everyone is the final report of King’s fourth Cultural Enquiry. On the basis of a 15-month research project, it presents a timely and distinctive vision of how to build a cultural life for the UK that is valuable for everyone, and made by all.
My first contact with the concept of cultural appropriation happened in July 2015 because of “Kimono Wednesdays” at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (MFA). On the occasion of the display of Claude Monet’s “La Japonaise” (a painting of the artist’s wife, surrounded by fans, wearing a blond wig and a bright red kimono), visitors were invited to put on a kimono similar to the one shown on the painting and share their photos on social media.
Is there an ‘expiry date’ for being an emerging artist? What if an artist’s career veers off the trodden paths and traditional routes, and keeps on emerging in new environments and in new shapes?
