IETM Green School
In February, IETM launched a new initiative regarding its Local Journeys for Change programme, founded in 2022. Starting in March 2023, IETM will offer extensive and practical training for members on greening tools and sustainable practices.*
Hosted as part of IETM’s emphasis on environmental sustainability in 2023, IETM members will dive into various aspects on how to embark on a journey of green transitioning. Together with experts and through peer to peer learning, the participants will explore different aspects of green transition. They will receive practical knowledge on how to use various greening tools, such as environmental calculators, and intangible yet highly relevant knowledge on how to approach climate justice and cultural shift in different contexts. They will also learn how to support sustainable production and creative processes, content and stories.
The aim of the programme is to launch a membership-wide initiative and empower the IETM network to take concrete steps towards bringing change to their local professional contexts and enrich the IETM community with innovative practices and experiences. Throughout March to November, the programme will develop in several steps and offer different approaches to capacity building, including an open call for training towards the end.
On March 21, 16:00 - 17:00 CET, we hosted a meeting open to all IETM members, where we presented the outline of the new programme and its opportunities, and kicked off with some inspiring best practices.
In the build up to the IETM Aarhus Plenary Meeting 2023, we will continue the work with hands-on workshops, covering the basic concepts of the climate culture shift.
