We aim to make the IETM Berlin Plenary Meeting as accessible as possible. If you require more information about a particular venue, please contact them directly on the details provided.

For this meeting, we are able to:
- Offer preferential rates for disabled participants;
- Offer free registration for your support worker;
- Provide an Easy Read Guide of the meeting and an accessible version of the programme;
- Provide captions for selected sessions of the meeting. The sessions that are captioned include the sentence Captions are available for this session in the session description in the online programme. You can access the captions on your smartphone by using the QR code displayed in each room.
- Provide an info desk at the entrance of the Theater building.
- Provide a Quiet Relaxed Room for participants at ufaFabrik on 16th and 17th May. The Relaxed Room is a space for no talking and a digital detox, to step aside from the hustle and bustle of the Plenary meeting and reduce sensory overload. You will find it once you enter the Foyer to your right, please follow the signs
- Provide an access support worker on site at ufaFabrik on the 16th May and in the morning of the 17th of May. You will find our access support Emanuele Valariano by the info desk at the Theater and he will regularly pass by the Relaxed Room
- Address any team member in a vest to call him
- Provide an Awareness Team at ufafabrik on 16th & 17th May who will provide listening and support to anyone who feels affected by any of the discussions or who experiences discrimination
- Provide child care at ufafabrik on 16th & 17th May. Please register ! (info below)
Physical Accessibility
- Step-free access: All rooms of the plenary are step free. ufaFabrik has two accessible entrances from Viktoriastrasse that both lead you to all venues.
- Accessible entrances and routes:
- Varieté and the Wolfgang-Neuss-Salon can be reached by a lift (that requires a key, please contact any of the IETM team members)
- Entrance to Theater, Seminarraum and Relaxed Room are via a ramp left of the Theatre entrance
- For step free access to Atelier 1 please follow the signs
- All seats are barrier-free
- Accessible restrooms: Gender neutral accessible toilets (entrance at least 1m width) are located:
- Inside the restaurant
- Inside the Foyer of the main theatre next to the Relaxed room
- Inside the building of Varieté and Wolfgang Neuss Salon
- All are open at all times, no additional key is required
- Accessible parking:
- If you arrive by car, you/your taxi can drive on to the premises
- There is one disabled parking space facing the entrance of the main Theater
- Service for visually impaired: Pick-up for blind and visually impaired guests at the public transport station of Ullsteinstrasse is available upon request. Please write to: [email protected]
- Service animal accommodations: Of course you can bring an assistance dog to the premises of ufaFabrik

- Child care
- On 16th and 17th May the Kids’ farm is open and welcoming children over 6 years old who have been signed up at the registration desk. Please register here: [email protected]
- Additionally on Fri 16th we offer child care for children between 2 and 6 years from 3 - 6.30 pm. Please register here: [email protected]
- Quiet areas: A Quiet Relaxed Room is available for participants at the meeting's main venue
- Trained staff:
- An access support worker, Emanuele Valariano, will be on site at ufaFabrik on the 16th and in the morning of the 17th of May
- Awareness team Queer Mama is present on site at ufaFabrik on the 16th & 17th May
- You will recognise them by their purple vests
- They have a desk close to the info desk
- This team consists of experienced practitioners who provide listening and support to anyone who feels affected by any of the discussions that take place during the meeting or who experiences discrimination. You are welcome to approach them for confidential support at any time
- Hearing support:
- There are no hearing systems for people with hearing loss
- We provide ear plugs
