IETM Multi-location in Yokohama

The local Plenary meeting in Yokohama, Japan, will be hosted by our member PARC - Japan Center, Pacific Basin Arts Communication. Please find below the introduction by the local host, as well as the local programme.

Since Japanese borders are currently not fully open yet, we kindly ask participants based outside of Japan to attend the Yokohama local meeting online. Registration is still mandatory.

Introduction by the local host

PARC (Japan Center, Pacific Basin Arts Communication) was established in December 1990 in succession to the secretariat of “Meeting for Pacific Basin Arts Communication” that was held in November 1990, and was certified as a nonprofit organisation in 2002.

PARC’s objectives are to organise basic data regarding performing arts, to build information and human network related to the arts, and to disseminate unique works of art in the world aiming to create and enhance artistic expression. PARC promotes international exchange and regional activities with a focus on performing arts and supports advancement of the arts and culture to the benefit of society.

PARC hosts TPAM (Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama: 2011-present, former Tokyo Performing Arts Market: 1995-2010) every year with an aim to be a space where people from various places in the world who are professionally involved in performing arts get together to exchange through diverse performance and meeting programs and gain information, inspiration and network for the creation, dissemination and vitalisation of performing arts. Having celebrated the 20th anniversary, it is internationally recognised as one of the most influential performing arts platforms in Asia.

After co-organising ITEM’s Satellite Meeting in 2008 (Tokyo) and 2011 (Yokohama), we now invite Japan-based professionals to join our physical IETM local Pleanry meeting in Yokohama, and professionals based outside of Japan to join our programme online.

Registrations for this physical local meeting closed on 30 September. You can still join their live-streamed sessions in the full online programme.

Maximum capacity: 10 people per physical session.
