The IETM Campus is finally back! Three years after our latest IETM Campus in Eleusis in 2019, the sixth edition of the IETM Campus will be held from 19-26 May 2022 in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany, in partnership with IETM member LAFT Berlin – Berlin State Association for the Independent Performing Arts in the framework of their Performing Arts Program.

About the IETM Campus Berlin 2022

The IETM Campus Berlin will offer 6 days of intensive training in all aspects of working internationally in the performing arts sector to a group of 25-30 participants. The aim is to support young professionals who are starting to internationalise their career.

A group of experienced mentors from the performing arts field will share their knowledge on various topics of working internationally: developing artistic projects and ideas, curation, communication, presentation, community and audience work. Thanks to the limited number of places, participants will receive personal attention to their specific situations.

What’s more is that the Campus Berlin will take place between two of the major performing arts festivals of the city, Theatertreffen (6-22 May) and Performing Arts Festival Berlin (24-29 May). This will allow participants to dive into the local performing arts landscape and benefit from the learning and networking opportunities that these festivals can offer.

Profile of participants

Performing arts professionals with at least two years of professional experience in the contemporary arts field, taking their first steps in the world of international exchange. They can be freelancers, working for an organisation that is starting to work internationally or working in an organisation aiming to enhance their international practice. 

IETM and LAFT Berlin are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Professionals who feel underprivileged in the performing arts sector are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Participation fee

The participation fee for the IETM Campus Berlin 2022 is €450 for IETM members, and €600 for non-members.

The participation fee includes:

• Participation in the full Campus programme (19-26 May 2022);
• Accommodation in a single bedroom and half boarding (19-26 May 2022);
• A welcome dinner; 
• A farewell dinner.  

If you are based in Berlin, please note that our Campus partner Performing Arts Program will select up to five performing arts professionals based in Berlin to participate in the Campus free of charge.

Applications to take part in the IETM Campus Berlin closed on 10 March 2022.

Results were announed by email on 22 March 2022.

Important notes
Participants who were selected for the cancelled IETM Campus Belfast 2020 were given priority to register for the IETM Campus Berlin 2022. For this reason, a number of places have been reserved for that pool of candidates. This call is for the remaining 10-15 available places.
