Laï Laï Laï Laï - Cie 7273
Since its inception, Cie 7273 has focused on the question of music and dance. What is the role of music on stage? Should it illustrate dance, accompany it, or remain independent from it? Can you use popular music for a dance performance; should it be live or digital? Do we want harmony, dissonant sounds, or better still peace and quiet? In “Laï Laï Laï Laï”, Cie 7273 attempts to put a band together. What would it be like as a dancer to behave just like a passionate folk singer? Laurence Yadi and Nicolas Cantillon venture into what is still unknown territory. Whereas up until now they have only communicated their bodily doctrine visually to us, they have now taken over our ears. A self-mocking piece for a group of four musicians who are in fact dancers.

Cie 7273
Cie 7273 – the name of the group represents the years in which Laurence Yadi and Nicolas Cantillon were born. In 2003, the two choreographers surprised the dance scene with their first piece “La vision du lapin”, already making a name for themselves internationally with their first efforts. Their performances are impressive due to their concept, clarity and consistency.
