We live within communities shaped by questions of security, defence and conflict.
This panel discussion and Q&A explores the roles the cultural sector may take on in conditions of crisis and instability, bringing together perspectives across security of supply in the cultural sector, the weaponisation of culture, media and information, and experiences rooted in violent histories of governance, memory and defence.
Together, we will examine culture as both a resource and a site of contestation. We’ll reflect on the responsibilities carried within cultural practice and the limits it encounters in contexts shaped by conflict, as these questions continue to unfold in real time.
