IETM Artists Working Group: Shaping the unknown - Creating pathways for a generative future
Location: Wolfgang-Neuss-Salon
Address: Viktoriastraße 10-18, 12105 Berlin, Germany | Venue Information | Event Map
IETM working groups are led by members and provide a space to tackle issues important to the network.
How do we navigate liminality? How can we hold multiplicity, instability and the unknown as a generative model? Instead of choosing between the polarising perspectives 0 and shrinking - how can we maintain our own compass and navigate in an expansive, inclusive way. The ‘grey’ zone is really a rainbow. Discover and share alternatives to the current climate of polarising dynamics. Shape a future that includes multiple perspectives and leads us where we want to go, together.
The Artists Working Group invites other artists to join us for a collective and physical mapping exercise to envision and propose pathways to the future we want. This is a participatory session.
Initiated at the Belgrade Plenary in 2022, the Artists Working Group is a network of IETM members who work primarily as artists. It is a space for meeting, exchanging and discussing artistic topics and building concrete networks of support and artistic exchange beyond project-based collaborations.
It aims to focus on freelance artists’ perspectives and realities within IETM, increasing our visibility and effecting structural change. Artists Working Group aims to centralise the artist’s perspective and invites deeper dialogue on all issues with members and the working groups.
The group adopts intercultural, horizontal and inclusivity values and procedures.
