Artistic walk 2: Sweet & Salt programme
Renato Stanković from the Sweet & Salt programme will take you on a walk in the Rijeka area where the river Rječina (sweet) meets the sea (salty). Various artistic interventions, cultural activities and events will revive abandoned industrial buildings and port infrastructure in the Sweet & Salt zone, connecting them with the popular streets and squares of Rijeka.
New ideas and content will be shown to citizens and visitors who will be able to see the city in a new and stimulating way. The primary goal of this programme is to show the hidden potential of what is ugly and unwanted. Renato will take us through Školjić and Delta, city areas near the Rječina river. We will see what has been done in dealing with the challenges in these areas, how the locals were included in finding the solution to these challenges, and what will be the legacy of this programme.
