This publication is part of IETM’s broader commitment to strengthening knowledge and practice around community building, a topic highly relevant to its members and long discussed and explored through network activities.
It also lays the groundwork for the IETM Community Building School, which will explore various practical aspects around the practice of working with communities, such as community engagement, participatory approaches and new ways of curating artistic work and developing performing arts organisations and venues.
By bringing together experiences, questions and practical reflections from across the IETM network and beyond, this publication contributes to the shared knowledge that will continue to be developed and disseminated through the School and other network’s activities, aiming to inspire and inform both practitioners and policy-makers.
