Join our IETM Hull discussion on mobility
The European Commission is testing a mobility scheme which will sponsor professional mobility of around 500 individual artists and cultural professionals before the end of this year. After the testing phase, the scheme is meant to be implemented in 2021. The Commission is also exploring a possibility of starting a separate programme which would support the circulation of performing arts works across borders.
Join our special session in Hull, where we will inform you in a greater detail about the upcoming pilot scheme - deadlines, types of mobility funded, duration, application procedures, and more.
Moreover, it is a testing phase, so your feedback matters a lot and can bring a real change to the current Commission’s pilot programme and influence its future development. Therefore, we want to hear from you what kind of mobility you think the scheme should support: individual or touring; residencies, trainings, trips to prepare an application for a cooperation project, within the EU or beyond; how long a mobility experience should last, what type of funding should be provided, and other relevant questions.
Join our discussion on the 29th of March, from 4 to 6 pm, in Hull Truck Theatre - Inter@ct room.
To express your interest, please click on “Add to my schedule” on the right top corner of the session's page.
Great! Count me in
I believe it would really different if the mobility program will impact countriside, depressed areas, rural areas suburbs and/or complex social contests. Plus it will be interesting to focus and analyze deeply the "work with the communities", which doesn't need to mean making a show with local communities, or so. Engagement starts from listening, availablity and the awerness of contests where you live. Things that should be present in the work of an artist. And then disseminate on a larger scale the outputs.
Today Europe means even opposite things, depending if you live in cities and territories already reached from EU activities or not. Populism and the detatchment art/society are both based on these real, perceived and believed distances.
It's not just WE ALL ARE EUROPE, it's aso WE ARE THE WHOLE EUROPE :)
Those two ideas, to me, shoud nourish the program in details.
I will be there !
