Help us to build the programme of IETM Porto
IETM and our partners in Portugal want to shape a programme the closest to your needs.
Under the title "Other Centres" the programme will deal with questions of decentralisation, deconcentration and decolonisation, searching about the relations between capital cities and regions, centres and suburbs, urban and rural areas, as well as European peripheries and international cultural hubs. Your ideas regarding topics, speakers and formats for sessions in line with those questions are very welcome!
Feel free also to propose hands-on workshops and trainings on other matters.
It would be great to have a working session for circus professionals in the same style as the music theatre group
Hi everyone
As the world grows more and more obnoxious, I'd like to propose that we start IETM Comedy Club from next meeting onward. This is not a joke!
Vahid
Hi Vahid,
second time I hear it from you, so I guess it's not a joke.
What do you have in mind? Include humorists in the artistic programme? Offer an open-impro stage over the course of the meetings? Hold a Comedy club session in which speakers would joke on the main theme of the meeting?
Just tell me what you want and I'll see what I can.
Hi Jean,
not a bad idea. Such groups are initiatives from IETM members that we support and on which we collaborate. We have some members in common with Circostrada, maybe you should approach them with this in mind.
I just think we should have an open mic stand up session in the evening(s), perhaps in a room adjacent to the late night meeting point. No thematic framework though.
Are you volunteering to launch it? Such a new highlight of IETM meetings will require a host.
Maybe you should consider a cabaret in order to accommodate all the disciplines that meet in IETM and go over the language issue.
I'd be happy to do that. Let's talk :-)
Happy holiday!
Hi IETM team.
Do you still looking for some proposals/ideas for some cessions? Does it still time to think and propose you an idea?!
Dear Lise,
it's a bit too late to submit an idea for the meeting in Porto, but definitely on time for Munich.
Once the Satellite in Cairo will be over, I'll open another discussion on the forum in regards with the Munich programme. In the meantime you can always send me an email.
