Showcase of Romanian independent performative arts: 1st edition of Independent exterior
We are delighted to invite you to take part in the 1st edition of INDEPENDENT EXTERIOR, a showcase of Romanian independent performative art, taking place in Bucharest, between the 3rd and 7th of November 2021.
14 independent theatre and dance productions developed and performed by local companies have been included in the programme, alongside several other thematic events. “When thinking of Romanian performance art, the international theatre community mostly remembers the big productions touring abroad in the ’90s and a few artists that emerged afterward and performed in other countries. However, very little is known about what is happening in Romania right now, although there is interest on both sides. The showcase aims to present a selection of productions that are representative for the performance art sector in Bucharest and the main artistic discourses used.”
