Call For Panelists: Immersive Creative Processes
Dear IETM Members,
I will be moderating a panel/workshop titled Immersive creative processes: different types of engagement and looking for 4 additional members with extensive expertise in creating immersive work to join as presenters. In the first part of the session, each presenter will have an opportunity to share briefly (5 minutes) one essential topic to consider when creating immersive work that deeply engages and considers audiences. When explaining the topic, presenters are encouraged to use examples from experiences of their own or those of other colleagues, and examples can be in the form of successes, challenges, or possibly a combination of both.
The second part of the session will be an interactive workshop, in which participants will have an opportunity to select one of the presented topics and in small groups be guided through the creation of a response in the form of a mini-immersive performance or verbal presentation. As participants work, presenters can serve as advisors for groups that focused on the topic they presented, but try not to guide or control the work that’s being created.
If you are interested in participating as a presenter, please send me a few examples of your past immersive work, as well as 2 potential topics that you would like to focus on, and how you are thinking of briefly illustrating them. Submissions should arrive by October 1st, and you will be notified of the decision by October 7th. There are clearly too many qualified people at IETM, so the decision will be greatly based on creating a well-balanced group of presenters and topics. Please send your submissions via my IETM profile or directly to email@example.com.
Please take a look at the program to see the overall workshop description, which may spark additional ideas for you.
If you would like to learn more about my work, feel free to check out my IETM profile, or take a look at the website of Kaimera Productions, of which I’m the Co-Artistic Director: www.kaimeraproductions.com.
Look forward to reviewing your proposals!
