The EU’s New Culture Compass: IETM's Analysis and Perspective
The European Commission has unveiled its new strategic framework for culture - the Culture Compass. IETM welcomes this significant policy milestone and notes important shifts, both in discourse and focus, including priorities related to artists’ working conditions, artistic freedom, and cultural participation. We also fully endorse the proposal for a new Performing Arts Prize. At the same time, some of the proposed pathways for change could be more ambitious and more concrete.
