Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting 2027 (YPAM2027) Meeting Registration Now Open
From 5 to 14 February, Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting (YPAM) returns for its 2027 edition, bringing together performing arts professionals, artists and audiences from Japan and across the world for 10 days of performances, artistic exchange and new discoveries in the Creative City of Yokohama.
YPAM Exchange, YPAM’s professional exchange program, introduces new meeting formats for its 2027 edition, expanding opportunities for professionals to propose, share and discuss ideas with peers from diverse fields and backgrounds. An open call for meeting proposals and professional registration for YPAM2027 will begin on 1 September 2026.
Meeting registration period: 1 September – 16 October 2026, 17:00 JST (UTC+9)
Professionals working in the performing arts are invited to take part in the following meeting formats, with proposals for hosting sessions accepted alongside participant registration.
Testing Room
Open call; proposals to be reviewed and session hosts selected by YPAM.
A space for shared inquiry where participants bring ideas and works at various stages of development into dialogue, inviting reflection and collective exploration.
Roundtable
Open call; session hosts to be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Intimate meetings where participants set their own themes and open up discussion around shared interests and challenges.
Symposia
YPAM-coordinated sessions, with proposals welcome.
Panel discussions on the latest developments in the performing arts, bringing diverse perspectives, ideas and practices into conversation.
Together, these formats make up the Meeting Point, the core event of YPAM Exchange, to be held from 8 to 10 February 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Yokohama. Beyond the Meeting Point, YPAM Exchange also includes Artist Sharing, as well as receptions, parties and Late Night Meeting Point, creating a dynamic setting for performing arts professionals to connect with peers, exchange perspectives and knowledge, and explore potential collaborations across borders and disciplines.
