Open Call for Proposals: Choreocraft 2017
Choreocraft is an opportunity for choreographers to explore new ideas, or take risks with new directions, or to engage with other artists in a supportive environment under the guidance of plan B’s artistic director, Frank McConnell. The Choreocraft process is intended to allow a deeper understanding of the creative process, rather than producing a piece of work. Although working in this way can be challenging, it can often lead to surprising breakthroughs on the artistic journey. Through the process there will also be the opportunity to meet the public and engage in open dialogue about the process and layers contained within the work.
Call for Proposals
We are now seeking project proposals from choreographers who wish to be considered for plan B’s next two Choreocraft residencies, taking place in May and December 2017. We are now open to accepting proposals from choreographers working in any style with the residencies usually taking place over two weeks at plan B’s base at The Shed in Evanton, Easter Ross. We would welcome proposals from choreographers working
• from and/or with visual image
• collaboration with another art-form
What We Offer
We can offer space, a choreographic fee, fees for dancers and regular monitoring, support and feedback in the creative process. What we ask in return is that, you open class/warm up to dance artists in the region and as part of your process, you are prepared to engage with an audience in an informal way about the way in which you work and what it is that interests you as an artist.

In the first instance, please email us a brief outline of your idea and interest, - no more than 2 sides of A4 - as well as a description of how you might envisage your participation in the Choreocraft process.

plan B will inform you if you have been unsuccessful but unfortunately, due to the volume of proposals we receive, we will be unable to give you any feedback about your proposal.
