Meet the Artists Shaping Performance in European Art Houses!

PIT launches its new website with an inspiring line-up of creators. Discover who’s part of this exciting journey.

Coordinated by Bozar, “Perform Inform Transform: Participatory Performance in Art Museums” (PIT) is an EU-funded initiative that brings together 6 leading art institutions until 2027 to support new forms of performance, foster artistic exchanges or research activities, as well as to explore the evolving relationship between live art, communities and art houses.

The PIT partners are thrilled to announce the selection of artists who will participate in the European project “Perform Inform Transform: Participatory Performance in Art Museums” and co-produce new creations! The selection of artists includes: Lina Lapelytė (Lithuania), Ivan Cheng (Australia / The Netherlands), Ça Marche (Spain), Diana Anselmo (Italy), Poncili Creacion (Puerto Rico), Isabel Lewis (Dominican Republic/Germany), Mónica Valenciano (Spain), Nemo Flouret (France) and more to be announced.

For Christophe Slagmuylder, CEO and Artistic Director of Bozar: “These artists offer a diverse and unique range of perspectives on the world and cast light on the crucial role of performance art in building bridges between art houses and communities. Emerging or more established, young or old, local or belonging to minority groups, these international artists and their work give shape to a European landscape that is rich in talents and ready to constantly reinvent itself.”

PIT has received a three-year grant from the Creative Europe Programme. Its main partners are Bozar (Belgium), Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Luxembourg), CAC Contemporary Art Centre (Lithuania), Serralves Foundation (Portugal), TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (Spain), and Triennale Milano (Italy).
