Doing Nothing is Not an Option - Tipping Point and Julie's Bicycle
TippingPoint in partnership with Julie’s Bicycle and Warwick Arts Centre:
DOING NOTHING IS NOT AN OPTION
17 - 19 June 2016
Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry
We need to talk about the daffodils that are flowering in the depths of winter. And the unprecedented flooding hitting the UK. The warmest February since records began.
Doing nothing about climate change is simply not an option for anyone anymore. That’s where TippingPoint’s most ambitious event in a decade comes in.

This three-day gathering aims to help energise the performing arts by bringing it together with voices from the world of climate science to explore the vital terrain at the intersection of knowledge and culture.
Over a weekend in June, theatre writers, directors, makers, creators, producers, company members, performance artists, activists and choreographers will come together with climate specialists to shape new ideas and develop a platform for creative responses to the biggest challenge humanity has ever faced.
The event aims to be the seedbed of a new wave of theatre, spectacle and dance on a subject that can often feel inaccessible in its enormity. You’ll leave feeling affirmed, informed and invigorated; your horizons broadened and imagination enriched by a sense of purpose and concrete ideas.
This is an opportunity to imagine alternative futures, ways of being, and working. If we don’t do that now, we won't have time to make them real.
We hope you can join us there.
