Cumplicidades 2016
Cumplicidades Festival is back in 2016!
The Lisbon’s International Festival dedicated to Contemporary Dance will take place from 4th to 19th March in various city spaces.
The Cumplicidades wants to connect Portugal to other geographic and choreographic latitudes of the Mediterranean countries, bringing together their creative processes.
Performances, workshops, lectures and an international conference will be means from which the authors will reveal their methods, reflections, inspirations or the theoretical paradigms that underlie work lines shared with the publics, complicit of these processes.
The opening show and co-production of Cumplicidades, Heaven is just a blue disguise of Hell, by Joana von Mayer Trindade & Hugo Calhim Cristóvão is a duet between fear and excitement. The other co-production, The wrong felt, by Andresa Soares & Matthiew Ehrlacher, is a project that brings together several levels of translation or sense displacement, in a kind of Present tragic-comedy.
Also a highlight to the national premiere, You’re not a fish after all, by the Turkish dancer Mihran Tomasyan who opens a suitcase to tell the story of men making their journey on water and war.
