Call for Stories: Fair Practices in the Arts
As a continuation of IETM's work on fairness and in preparation of our 2026 Fair Arts School, we call on all IETM members and the global performing arts community to share your stories via a survey to help us understand what fairness means in different contexts from all corners of the globe.
IETM is collaborating with edgeandstory, headed by researcher Kai Brennert, to conduct a survey on innovative and/or context-specific practices promoting fair relationships in the cultural sector.
This research primarily focuses on how we treat one another within the arts community, rather than how we are treated by funders and policymakers.
As a result of the research, we will get an insight into and share with the whole sector what fairness means in different contexts, how cutting-edge and effective practices came about, and what works and what doesn't.
We look forward to hearing your stories - about both successes and failures!
