Faravid's Land is a multidisciplinary work that combines theatre, dance and contemporary circus to create a semi-fictional, mythical past for our town Oulu and Northern Finland. The audience will encounter mythical creatures portrayed by 14 dancers, actors and circus artists, who either embrace or fight the natural darkness of the North - all within a once-in-a-lifetime performance surroundings in an abandoned shopping mall. Faravid's Land will take over the entire building as an immersive performance, where the audience become active participants in a staging that unfolds all around them. The performance is written by Eira Virekoski and directed by Alma Lehmuskallio and Pirjo Yli-Maunula.
