For the fourth consecutive year, the Karavel festival ends with the Hip Hop Games. Halfway between battle and choreographic creation, this international competition brings together several crews around a series of challenges.
Created in 2011 by Lille-based choreographer Romuald Brizolier, the Hip Hop Games quickly spread across the planet - to the Netherlands, Belgium, England and Denmark - to become one of the most original events in the hip-hop world. The show is a real spectacle, skilfully staged by the HHG troupe.
In solo, duo or team, the crews challenge each other in creative events where the sense of improvisation, artistic risk-taking, humour and creativity are evaluated by a jury of wise professionals. A constantly renewed show that allows the public to live a unique experience!

Le Bonheur – KnAM Theatre
Théâtre des Célestins, Célestine
Théâtre des Célestins, Célestine
Address: 4 Rue Charles Dullin, 69002 Lyon | Event Map | Venue Accessibility
Performed in Russian with French subtitles.
“How to reconcile people with the ephemeral, sincere and profound feeling of happiness?” – Tatiana Frolova
A regular guest at Sens Interdits since 2011, KnAM Theatre is returning to the festival for the sixth time with its latest creation, continuing its reflection on the social and political situation in Russia and the way in which it permeates people's conscience.
After working on “frozen feelings” in 2019 with* Ma Petite Antarctique (My Little Antarctic), Tatiana Frolova now examines the possibility of happiness in this country, where the false memory of the “happy USSR” is still prevalent. What is happiness for Russian citizens today? Could it really lead to a retreat into the nationalist ideas of identity advocated by the current political situation?
The company gives an intimate insight into contemporary Russia using, as usual, a variety of experiences and accounts from actors, while never losing sight of the deep historical dimension. The performance brings to light with sharpness and irony the propaganda mechanisms of a country in which happiness is an order, but rarely a reality.

In Five Seasons: An Enemy of the People – Jeton Neziraj
Théâtre La Renaissance
Address: 7 Rue Orsel, 69600 Lyon | Event Map | Venue Accessibility
This is the true story of an architect, Rexhep Luci, who was assassinated while trying to complete the urbanisation plan in the city of Pristina after the war. It is the story of a devastated country that was left in the hands of the mafia and corrupt media. In a bid for peace and political stability, the United Nations turned a blind eye to the illegal constructions and the authorities favoured rapid development at the detriment of any social well-being.
Like the hero Ibsen, who refused any compromise in the name of truth, Rexhep Luci became “the enemy”. In this caustic piece, Jeton and Blerta Neziraj condemn the absurdity and hypocrisy of the Kosovan government and its devastating consequences for the state of the country today. However, they also open up the hope for a fifth season, that of youth, in which change will still be possible.
