Between you, me and the four walls / coun●ter●part - Michelle Browne
Performance art from the visual arts has recently experienced a resurgence in Ireland, which has resulted in many Irish artists traveling and performing at live art and performance art venues and festivals throughout the world. To give you a taste of the powerful work being made in Ireland, the IETM Dublin organisers and Dublin City Council have commissioned three new pieces by internationally renowned performance artists.
Michelle Browne and Dominic Thorpe come together in coun●ter●part to explore how two distinct performance practices find common ground in collaboration. The work draws out the potential and the tension that exists in the relationship between the two performers. Working through mark-making and interdependence, the performance explores the delicacy and intimacy in the collaborative act.
