IETM Producers Group: Producing as a practice of transmission
Location: Varieté-Salon
Address: Viktoriastraße 10-18, 12105 Berlin, Germany | Venue Information | Event Map
IETM working groups are led by members and provide a space to tackle issues important to the network.
This IETM Producers Working Group gathering is co-hosted by Dachverband Tanz Deutschland, produktionsbande and PAP Berlin, to explore practices of transmission amongst producers of contemporary performing arts across generations, disciplines and borders.
They will ask participants how we can think of the concept of transmission as a feminist practice, how we can combine the importance of self-care alongside caring for our sector, and how we can understand the role of producers as being both a learner and an expert respectively. They want to work with the expertise present in the room, share impulses, learn from each other and also strengthen their community bonds while getting to know one another better.
Join them for an engaging and insightful session to enrich our collective experience!
It is open to everyone who identifies as a producer, agent or manager, independent and/or associated with a company or institution, working at all scales and in all live art forms.
The Producers Working Group also meets online in between plenaries to provide a space for IETM members to explore how producers can support each other on questions of advocacy, producer development and the creation and circulation of new works.
