£25,000 – £27,500 PA (depending on experience), paid monthly
Walk the Plank are hiring a Production Manager to join our team of outdoor arts experts based at Cobden Works, our award-winning workspace in Salford. In this role, you will be playing a key role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious productions.

Our production team play a crucial role ensuring that each project is executed to the highest standards for our clients – from festivals and local authorities to government agencies and commercial clients – with regard to budgets, creativity, safety and audience engagement.
Responsibilities
- To work as an effective and brilliant production manager, supporting the delivery of the company’s ongoing programme of ambitious arts and cultural activity which forms part of its wider strategic business plan.
- The production management of diverse arts projects as designated by the Head of Production, in line with our pioneering standards of environmental sustainability.
- Support in translating the artistic vision of directors/designers and creative teams to ensure ambitious work is delivered on time, within budget, and safely.
- The stewardship and development of good business relationships with new and existing clients
Knowledge, skills, experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to get on with a wide variety of people at all levels and to work well within a team
- Ability to deal with a cross-section of different people from wide ranging backgrounds in diverse circumstances including under pressure and in challenging, potentially highly charged situations
- Ability to work on own initiative and willing to learn new techniques / skills in accordance with agreed changes to working practice
- Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Calm and logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to deal with correct prioritisation of tasks when faced with limited resources
- Produce work to a high level of accuracy using a methodical approach
- High level of competency using Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel)
- First aid at work certified (training will be provided if required)
- Passport holder, not subject to travel restrictions
- Eligible to work in the UK
