Teatringestazione, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Culture as an innovation theatre production company in the field of experimentation, has been based in Naples since 2006. Its founders, Gesualdi | Trono, are artists, curators, researchers and trainers working in national and international contexts. The actions promoted by Teatringestazione are to be considered parts of a single poetic discourse delivered in hybrid formats aimed at affirming the political dimension of Performing Art.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

People with at least three years of experience in international performing arts booking/touring/production. 

We are looking for an accomplished Producer/Booking Tour Responsible with significant experience in touring work internationally and nationally. The successful candidates will have a wide range of creative producing skills, including tour booking, relationship management, networking, contract negotiation, budget modelling and management, company scheduling and liaison, marketing strategies and fundraising. We seek to build long and meaningful relationships, and this role rewards someone interested in identifying and shaping new potential projects, be that original, commissioning, co-productions, or in the transversal sectors.



Role's GOALS

• Broaden the work that we create and the people we connect with.
• Develop and tour new and existing productions nationally and internationally.
• Identify and secure tour dates at international venues and festivals.
• Bring your own touring networks to create new opportunities to distribute our work.
• Develop venue partnerships nationally and internationally.
• Represent Teatringestazione at industry and stakeholder events, meetings, and performances.
• Negotiate the best possible deals to achieve our financial targets.
• Lead all touring logistics, in collaboration with administration and organization officer, including financial management, contracting, schedules, technical requirements, visas, accommodation, travel, marketing, etc.
• Oversee the company's well-being on tour and maintain an energised and positive working culture and environment with clear organisational values, which is conducive to the professional development and care of staff and the creation and promotion of high-quality work.
• Ensure marketing and social media campaigns broaden our reach and maximise audience attendance at our shows.
• Explore ways in which to make our work more accessible and to maximise opportunities for wraparound engagement activities that broaden audience reach through community engagement, post-show talks and engagement with schools and Universities.
• Other activities as the Artistic Directors may require Essential.

Given the transversal nature and complexity of the activities carried out by TeatrInGestAzione (performances, hybrid formats, educational program, festivals, cultural projects), the ideal candidates are those who think it is fundamental to cultivate their imagination, capable of dialoguing with the conventional arts system, but at the same time eager to experiment with new collaborations and synergies with diversified stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title:

Producer/Booking Tour Responsible, reporting to Artistic Directors Gesualdi | Trono, and collaborating with administration and organization officer.



Work Base:

Naples and working/touring nationally and internationally

Residence in Naples is a preferential but not mandatory requirement. 

Teatringestazione can provide temporary and short-term accommodation on-site for those not domiciled in Naples who, under their commitment and responsibility, feel they can achieve the agreed objectives while working remotely.

Contract:

A permanent position after completing a successful probation period.

The collaboration is intended to be exclusive, stable and lasting.

Probation Period:

3 months.

Notice Period: 

3 months.

Working Hours:

To the needs of the business, particularly around touring schedules. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Remote working will be required during touring periods, with significant periods spent away during national and international touring and when meeting venues/festivals to deepen relationships and develop touring opportunities. 

Start Date:

Immediate recruitment. As soon as possible.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

- Fluent in English and Italian with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience in fundraising/grant applications to support touring and project development

- Extensive experience producing and touring performing art internationally.

- Experience in negotiating, drafting and managing venue/performer contracts.

- Strong financial management, including the development and management of budgets.

- Extensive network, contacts and knowledge of IT and International venues/festivals.

- Knowledge of the performing art/cultural sectors at the international level.

- Understanding social media/marketing campaigns to support audience engagement and attendance.

- Able to travel nationally and internationally for significant periods to support touring productions.

- A highly organised and committed approach to delivering excellence and quality in everything you do.

- A collaborative, positive attitude, a can-do approach, and excellent problem-solving skills.

- Highly motivated and able to manage and prioritise their workload, with a strong sense of responsibility and awareness of the irregular nature of artistic work.

- Strong communicator and networker.

- Physical and mental endurance, caring, listening, observation, curiosity, inventiveness.

- Problem-solving approach; interest and willingness to keep up to date professionally.

Preferential requirements:

- university degree or PhD in philosophy, anthropology, or related;

- knowledge of additional languages, written and spoken;

- previous and personal knowledge of the work of Teatringestazione;
