Open call for artists to participate in ITI's project at Theater der Welt Festival

The German centre of the International Theatre Institute invites 5 artists to join its project for the festival THEATRE OF THE WORLD 2017 in Hamburg. ACCESS POINTS – the Right to Sea is an ITI accompanying programme that is organized together with the Hamburg based performance group geheimagentur (secret agency).
The (disappearing) public access to city ports and sea shores worldwide is the main focus of ACCESS POINTS. Restrictive access control policies of port authorities took over what the identity of harbour cities have formed during centuries. Performance, workshops, and an international symposium – will be the tools of art & activism to gain new and creative access to sea shores and ports. The scholarship programme aims to provide a basis for international artistic exchange in theory and practise connected to the main theme of this year’s festival – harbours.
ITI Germany grants free admission and accommodation for 11 nights in Hamburg. The project is scheduled from 25th May (arrival 24th May) to 3rd June (departure 4th June).

To apply for participation, please send your CV with information on your artistic projects around “Right to Sea”, and indicate your first and second workshop choice until 21st April
