Join Asia’s Leading Performing Arts Platform: Registration Now Open for YPAM2025
Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting (YPAM) is calling on professionals engaging in contemporary performing arts from around the world to participate in YPAM2025, taking place from November 28 to December 14, 2025 in Yokohama, Japan.
YPAM2025 opens the gateway for networking and exchange with three participation options. Artists and companies can present their work by registering for YPAM Fringe, an open-call festival for staging innovative and boundary-pushing performances at any venue in Kanagawa Prefecture. Meanwhile, YPAM Exchange offers opportunities for participants to propose and lead meetings on topics of their choice through presentations, roundtables, and studio demonstrations.

Originally established in 1995 as the Tokyo Performing Arts Market (TPAM), the event relocated in 2011 to Yokohama, Japan’s second-largest city, which symbolizes the end of over 200 years of national isolation and has actively promoted its “Creative City” concept since 2004. This relocation also marked TPAM’s transition from a “Market” to a “Meeting” in response to the growing demand for international networking and exchange among professionals engaging in contemporary performing arts. Subsequently, in 2021, the event adopted its current name, the Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting (YPAM), and continues to be organized by the Kanagawa Arts Foundation, Yokohama Arts Foundation, the City of Yokohama, and Japan Center, Pacific Basin Arts Communication (PARC), with the support of The Japan Foundation, the Japan Foundation for Regional Art-Activities, and the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Government of Japan.
