On the basis of many years of experience with documentary theatre projects, Archa Theatre organises an international summer school, which offers artists coming from all around the world a two-week period of free experimentation using the tools of documentary theatre. In the first part of the program, participants take place in the ateliers focusing on moving image, sound design, Viewpoints & the text, and light design. In the second part, they create a small performance at the Archa Theatre, which will be presented to general audience. The program also offers a complementary atelier on text, a roundtable, exclusive presentations, and screenings.
After 7 years of operation, the International Summer School has become a unique platform for teaching theatre techniques in the premises of a fully equipped theatre. During the summer school, the Archa Theatre is only available to its participants, so they have a unique space to use for their artistic growth. The performance that participants create together with colleagues from all around the world will be presented at the premiere on 07.09.2023 at the Archa Theatre.

You can also include visual materials showing your work to date.
Tuition fee: 700€
The fee includes daily practical exercises, ateliers, presentations, study materials, lunch, refreshments, and tickets to the accompanying program at the Archa Theatre. Students can request a discount on the tuition.
