Drastic Funding Cuts for internationale tanzmesse nrw

The cultural sector in Germany is facing massive financial cuts that will be effective as early as January 2025. These cuts also affect internationale tanzmesse nrw: One of the main funders - the Ministry of Culture and Science of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia - has annouced to cancel the funding for the edition 2026.

Over a period of 30 years, the Tanzmesse has made a significant contribution to international dialogue as well as to the development of networks and relationships that are of great importance for both the international dance scene and the local dance scene in NRW. However, with the loss of funding from the NRW region, the future of the Tanzmesse is now at immediate risk. This threatens the irreversible loss of the largest event dedicated solely to international exchange in the field of dance.

We need your support to demonstrate to the funding bodies why Tanzmesse is essential for international relations and its continuation is vital.
