Connect with Ukraine’s Performing Arts Scene in Kyiv This September
Dear international colleagues, please join Perform Ukraine 2026 in Kyiv on 16–17 September, followed by the Tanzplan Ukraine Forum on 18 September.
Organised for the fourth consecutive year by Creative Europe Desk Ukraine in collaboration with Impulse Transformation Platform, Perform Ukraine 2026 brings together Ukrainian and international performing arts professionals for two days of dialogue, professional exchange and artistic encounters. Previous editions welcomed between 200 and 350 participants.
The programme combines immersive and interactive formats, workshops, somatic lounge space, discussions, pitching sessions, one-to-one sessions and networking. Daytime activities will address the future of the performing arts sector, international perspectives, artistic practices, embodiment, artistic meaning and the role of performing arts in society.
The evening programme will present dance, theatre and interdisciplinary performances reflecting on contemporary realities through different artistic forms and languages.
Participants will be able to:
- present their work and artistic practices;
- meet artists, producers, curators and cultural organisations from Ukraine and abroad;
- exchange knowledge and perspectives;
- identify potential collaborators;
- explore opportunities for international projects and long-term partnerships.
The gathering is intended for artists, producers, cultural managers, curators, researchers, educators, and representatives of theatres, festivals, cultural institutions and independent organisations.
International colleagues can extend their professional visit by joining the main consultation day of the Tanzplan Ukraine 2026 Forum on 18 September. The Forum will open a sector-wide dialogue on the future of dance in Ukraine, cultural policy, professional education, international cooperation and support for independent practice. Its wider programme continues until 20 September.
Travel and practical support
While the organisers are not able to cover international travel or accommodation costs, they can provide confirmed participants with an official invitation letter and practical support in planning their visit.
The team has extensive experience welcoming international artists and cultural professionals to Kyiv. Guests will receive up-to-date guidance on travel routes, local arrangements and security procedures, as well as individual support before and during their stay.
