IETM's Policy Paper on Creative Europe discusses the programme's role in supporting the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCSs) within the EU's broader policy context. While Creative Europe has been instrumental in driving innovation and promoting cultural diversity, the paper highlights a disparity: CCSs are expected to contribute to various EU policies, such as the Green Deal and Gender Equality Strategy, yet these policies often fail to offer meaningful recognition for culture. This imbalance limits the space for art to thrive and stifles cultural diversity, which encompasses a multiplicity of themes, approaches and artistic expressions.
