Pre-meeting trip to Leeds
Leeds Dance Partnership are delighted to be a part of the IETM in Hull and to be hosting the pre-meet in Leeds on Wednesday March 27.
'Ahead of IETM Hull 2019, you’re invited to stop off at Leeds as we gather to walk, talk and dine our way around the city.
We will entertain you, stimulate you and, most importantly, feed you as we travel around the city, meeting artists, visiting venues and discussing innovative ways of working, pioneered by nationally and internationally renowned practitioners.
Hosted by Leeds Dance Partnership in collaboration with Walking Talking Project and artists and programmers from across Yorkshire, Walking with Leeds is a day of opportunities, designed to make connections across the region.
Your port of entry to the UK may bring you to Manchester or Leeds/Bradford airports, so why not take in some extra Yorkshire hospitality while you’re there.
The route includes both outdoor and indoor spaces and is suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact us if you have any other access issues: access@walkingtalkingproject.uk.
Price: free

Deadline: 26 March
Maximum: 80 participants
A detailed programme will be available soon.
If you decide to travel from Hull, the easiest way is by train, and return journeys can be booked from as little as £11.30. Book your journey, and any journeys from neighbouring airports at www.nationalrail.co.uk.
This pre-meeting begins in Leeds at 12:00 and finishes at 19.00 when minibuses will return you to the city centre. You will need to arrange your own accommodation in Leeds that evening or travel to Hull after the event. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transfers between Leeds and Hull for this pre-meeting. Direct trains depart at 18:48, 19:48, 19:55, 20:48, 21:48, and last train at 22:48 at a cost of £7.70 standard fare. The journey is 95 kilometres, which makes a taxi very expensive.
If you choose to stay and spend an evening in the bustling city, you can find signposts to great accommodation and cultural experiences there.
Walking with Leeds has been made possible with support from Leeds City Council and Arts Council England.'
I would like to visit the pre- meeting and stay for one night in Leeds.
Do you have any suggestions for a simple hotel in the center of Leeds.
Thanks!

Hello
If you choose to stay and spend an evening in the bustling city, you can find signposts to great accommodation and cultural experiences here.
Hi Shirley, I will be flying in from Spain and the earliest I could arrive would be with a flight that lands in Manchester at 12.10, and with the train journey I would reach Leeds around 2pm at the earliest. Is it still worth joining you? I have already registered for the pre-meeting trip. Thanks
Hello Jenny
You will be welcomed to join the Pre-meeting at any point in the day, there will always be a warm welcome. We are looking at having 'runners' on hand during the day to meet people arriving at different times.
If you could e-mail access@walkingtalkingproject.uk directly to let them know you arrival time and arrangements can be made.
Great, will do. Thank you
