Bio
Bureau Ritter (previously DIEHL+RITTER) is an international Berlin based non-profit cultural organization that develops strategies and support programmes for the arts, culture and education. The focus is on dance. In close cooperation with partners from the field of cultural policy such as the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Federal Cultural Foundation, the team of Madeline Ritter works on sustainable initiatives like the ground-breaking Tanzplan Deutschland (Dance Plan Germany) that became a role model for new ways of cooperative funding in the arts. For Dance Fund Heritage - an innovative programme fostering a diverse and lively cultural memory of dance - the organization received the prestigious European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Award 2016. In 2015 they conceived the multi-faceted initiative DANCE ON that addresses the problem of ageism in the dance sector and in society. The DANCE ON Ensemble consists of professional dancers 40+ and produces and tours internationally. Next to the ensemble, DANCE ON Participation creates social and creative encounters for elderly people. Bureau Ritter is also the lead partner of the European project DANCE ON, PASS ON, DREAM ON. https://dance-on.net/ https://bureau-ritter.de/en/
