Bora Bora Aarhus – Dance & Visual Theater presents national and international contemporary dance and visual theatre, organises local, national and international festivals and is a production centre for the local artistic dance field in Aarhus.
Bora Bora is looking for an artistic director in a limited tenure of four years from August 1st, 2018 with possibility of extension. The artistic director has the full artistic responsibility and together with the board the economic responsibility for the organisation.
Thorough managerial competences in the field of contemporary dance and a deep insight into both Danish and international dance and visual theatre are prerequisites. We emphasize the ability to combine quality and high artistic ambitions with attracting a wide audience. Furthermore we attach great importance to leadership skills to ensure a continued well-functioning team around Bora Bora.

- Located in central Aarhus with two stages, administrative offices as well as a subcontracted café.
- Seven permanent employees plus temporary workers and volunteers.
- Receives approx. 4,6 million DKK in annual operational funding as “lille storbyteater” (small metropolis theatre) as agreed in the four-year contract with Aarhus Municipality (latest agreement applies from July 1st, 2018 til June 30th, 2022).
