Lolipop - Croatian National theatre Ivan pl. Zajc Rijeka
Lolipop is a monodrama with elements of stand-up and performance art that addresses what sexual intimacy is and what affects it. Is it pornography? Work? Kindergarten yogurt? Ministry of Health? Exhaustion? Shame? Leisure? All significant socio-political upheavals were pondering the concept of sex life: from Victorian England through the Bolshevik revolution to the glorious 68 revolution. Although it seems to us that sexuality in neoliberal capitalism is not supposed to have a problem with the sexual liberation, the fact is that it has been locked in exhaustion, hyperindividualization, lack of sex education, consumerism and conservatism arising out of fear of multiple life choices. Talk about sex is getting more complicated.
