IETM Elections of Board Members and Advisors 2023

Join the IETM Advisory Committee or Board of Directors
We are looking for new IETM Board and Advisory Committee members!
Are you an IETM member who wants to be more involved in IETM’s development? Are you prepared to challenge ideas, propose topics and activities and contribute towards IETM’s core values? Or do you know another member who fits this criteria and would be an excellent candidate for the network’s Advisory Committee or Board of Directors?
Who are the IETM Board and Advisors?
You can find all the information about our Board Members and Advisors in the IETM Governance Structure.
Board of Directors - Role description
The Board of Directors consists of seven members who report to the General Assembly. It is responsible for overseeing the legal and financial governance of IETM, monitoring and approving the internal proceedings and rules of the network as well as suggestions and modifications of the statutes of IETM to be presented at the General Assembly. It also plans the General Assembly, appoints the Secretary General and assists the Secretary General in official representation of the network.
MEET THE CURRENT BOARD MEMBERS
Time engagement: The mandate of each Director is three years, with the possibility to renew the mandate once, upon approval at the General Assembly. The Board meets on average every second month at online meetings. It attends IETM Plenary Meetings and meets physically once a year.
Advisory Committee - Role description
The Advisory Committee is a self-organised and non-statutory body. Its role is to challenge ideas, propose topics and activities and raise questions that are relevant to the performing arts sector. It aims to provide an informal, diverse and inclusive space for exchange and to provide a voice for the members. Additionally, it supports the IETM Secretariat by giving feedback on proposed actions, policy papers and other strategic matters.
Time engagement: The mandate of each member is three years, and can be extended for one year, upon approval at the General Assembly. The Advisory Committee meets online every first Thursday of the month, for one and half hours, and takes part in the IETM Plenary Meetings, where they have an “Advisors Corner” for other participants to ask everything they want to know about the network.
Who are we looking for?
The Board and Advisors are at the core of IETM’s activities; we are therefore looking for dedicated members who are working internationally in the performing arts and are willing to invest some time to help navigate the direction of the network and keep it relevant for its members and the sector at large.
Moreover, we aim for the Board and Advisory Committee’s composition to be as diverse and balanced as possible in terms of gender, age, geographic location, size of the organisation, professional roles, identity, etc, and encourage professionals who feel underrepresented in the performing arts sector to apply. We are looking for professionals who are dedicated to the ideas of inclusion, diversity, accessibility and IETM’s core values.
