Global Connect is an IETM programme created with and supported by the IETM Associate Members. Global Connect is IETM´s flagship programme, built on our vision of a more global,   inclusive, diverse, accessible and eco-responsible network. Global Connect invites important voices and perspectives to IETM still not heard enough in the international arts discourse.

Since 2021, IETM has welcomed 64 Global Connectors, performing arts leaders and innovators from five continents, who are driving a tangible shift in IETM. They act as bridges between their local communities and the network by putting their voices forward, sharing their unique perspectives and creating new collaborations with other IETM members.

To continue this IETM trajectory, we are launching the 2027 Global Connect open call to form the next group of Global Connectors.

We are looking for 10 performing arts professionals and leaders (producers, artists, managers, presenters, etc.) based anywhere around the globe, working in any performing arts genre*, with a proven record of more than five years of professional experience. Overall, we aim to reach professionals who are passionate and committed to bridging their local contexts with the international performing arts scene through their work and knowledge; with an open, inclusive and generous mindset.

The 2027 Global Connect programme offers:

• Free IETM membership for five years (2027 - 2031), including free access to all IETM meetings and training programmes;
• Community-building online sessions from January to May 2027, to get to know your fellows and be introduced to the network;
• Funding support to take part in the 2027 IETM Plenary Meeting taking place in Larnaka, Cyprus (25 - 28 May 2027)
