Project GREEN INVERSIONS (2023/2024)

In 2023 a collaboration with 2 mentors Christian Tschirner aka Soeren Voima (dramaturg, playwright, director, educator from Germany) and Lynn Takeo Musiol (dramaturg, playwright, director, educator from Germany) (together working, collaborating as les dramaturx) and 12 artists from R. Macedonia (Ana Trpenoska (playwright, dramaturg), Mia Efremova (playwright), Eva Kamcevska (playwright, scriptwriter), Filip Vackov (playwright, historian), Ivana Nelkovska (playwright, dramaturg), Vesna Kusleska (playwright, dramaturg), Tanja Kuzmanoska (poet, writer), Igor Pop Trajkov (playwright), Jovana Bonceva (writer), Ridjet Ferati (visual artist)  and Elena Prendjova (slam poet, writer) realized an online and offline playwriting workshop in Skopje, intended for professional theater practitioners and writers.

The workshop focused on green dramaturgy through topics related to climate change. The authors opened the following local environmental problems which were transformed into short dramatic texts and narrations (with structure of realism, absurd, surrealism, dramatic poetry…):

• Crude capitalism and getting rich by reselling and burning toxic waste
  
   
• People with deeply damaged health, due to polluted air, soil, food and stress (Bears out of hibernation invade villages and towns in search of food, disturbed residents and killed domestic animals, A duel between a man and a crab in a battle for food or devouring each other, Corroded love and trust of a couple sheltered and hidden in an underground dwelling with small gaps of food and oxygen, on the verge of killing each other and other cataclysms, Children betray and sell their own parents for fame, power and painfully megalomaniac monetary ambitions)

Analogue part of the workshop was held in Skopje (16, 17, 18 October 2023, City Library  Brakja Miladinovci-Skopje, R. Macedonia)

Online part of the workshop was held between 12 October 2023 and 30 November 2023, via online platforms.

Follow-ups of the workshop are published 12 short plays as eBook online; including public readings online, digital exhibition with AI generated digital illustrations inspired by the very 12 short plays.  

In 2024 the project seeks to finding national and international partners for staging the plays as spoken green theatre performance and contemporary experimental opera.
