MOV-S: Space for International Exchange of Dance and Movement Arts

The 3rd edition of mov-s - Space for international exchange of dance and movement arts – will be held in Madrid, from 10th to 13th June 2010.
The event is organised by Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona) and Museum Reina Sofia (Madrid) and have the support of important venues for performing arts in Madrid, as Teatro Pradillo, La Casa Encendida, Teatro Ferran Gomez and El Matadero.

mov-s is made up of talks, working groups, project presentations and artistic programme and The spectator will be the central theme for the third edition of mov-s. Professionals in the field of dance and movement arts from all over the world will meet in Madrid to reflect upon the aspects that enable active spectators to recognise and value contemporary creative work.

The event aims to build bridges between the artists and dance organisations in order to establish natural ways of meeting and collaborating. It is an initiative from Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, but also occurs in other places throughout Spain in an itinerant manner. Previous editions took place in Barcelona in 2007 and in Galicia in 2008.
