Imaginative theatre and light Workshop
From 14-01-10 till 17-01-10 - Riddarhyttan, Sweden
Training - Europe - posted by TEATERCENTRUM on 01.12.09
An imaginative theater and light workshop will tale place from January 14-17 2010. it will be led by Axel Tangerding, architect, director and artistic director at teh Meta Theater, München, Germany.
For whom?
Professional light designers, technicians, stage designers, choreographers, directors, architects and other theatre professionals having interest in creating light.
What?
Try out your bright ideas in the deep winter darkness in the Swedish countryside! An opportunity for inspiration, improvisation, knowledge and contact! This workshop introduces different methods working with light and deals with the consciousness/awareness for light. Subjects are: light creation process in theatre, theory of colours, light concepts, light plan, the controlled light, the light map, projection, functions of light, light space, light in relation with architecture, painting with light, psychology of seeing/of looking . . . The light designer is planning and constructing light by manipulating the controllable qualities of light, as well as by using the special functions of light, imagining what the audience will experience. Therefore it is not only a technical task, but also a very creative and responsible one.
The creator has to deal with questions of beauty, emotions and power evoked by light. This workshop is a collaboration between Teatercentrum, Teatermaskinen and Axel Tangerding.
